101 Juice Recipes App Reviews

Doesnt work, isnt worth it

Video doesnt work. Shopping list doesnt combine common ingredients. $15 bucks for a juice list.. A wee tad extreme and far more expensive. Product has potential but fails to deliver. VERY DISAPPOINTED and expect a better product with your name on it Joe. Hopefully future updates will rectify this.

Disappointed :(

I was expecting a whole lot more recipes! 22 recipes is not worth the price of the app! Hopefully they will update and add more recipes?????

Almost perfect.

All in all a pretty good app. If I may offer some suggestions though...I was disappointed to find that some of the recipes from the book are missing from the app. Since I bought this mostly as a more mobile (and less likely to get juice stained) replacement to the book that does make things a bit difficult as now I have to switch back and forth. As such itd be nice if you could either add those or add a section were we might add juice recipes that are not included in the app. I also think itd be great to have an individual notes section added under the recipes where a person might save little memos like tweaks they made to the recipe, what they liked or didnt like, etc.

Lots of variety and functional

I just went for it and bought the $15 app. Is it the most expensive app in the iTunes store? Probably not but its pricey. I would give it 5 out of 5 if it was more reasonably priced. Anyway, I was setting up my juice plan for the next couple of days and noticed different #s. Ive been using the Reboot book for the first 5 days and the same recipe on the App has been "kind of" cut in half - yet both the book and the app say "makes 2 servings". And sometimes instead of 16 kale leaves it will call for only 4. Has anyone else tried it? Otherwise I like it - the shopping list maker is super handy and easy to use and edit. There are plenty of details and lovely photos. My only wish is I could sort by colour - I think the app store says you can but I dont see it. I only see colour coding for each recipe. Which is "okay" but it would be handier to just sort orange or green recipes. What would be even handier is if you could pick a recipe and place it in your daily menu - red for breakfast, green for lunch, purple for dessert. I have to keep a separate piece of paper to remember what recipe I added to the shopping list so I know what it was im making now! Curious what others think and how they get the proper measurements.

Not the same recipes

I like the functionality. Its easier to find the recipes than in the Reboot With Joe Diet ebook. But many of the recipes say they are for 2 servings, when clearly they are for 1 serving. Could be discouraging for someone who does not have the book or has not used the recipes on the website. If the recipes were correct, is give it 4 stars. If the recipes were correct and it had a "Search" function, Id give it 5 stars.

Great app

Great app if youre looking for juice recipes or doing the reboot. The only thing that could make this app better is if you could categorize juice recipes by their colour.

Please fix

Amazing recipes, but the videos dont work, every time I click on a video the app closes ...PLEASE fix

Great app!!

This app is great, but please update servings. So far recipes actually only yield for 1 serving not 2. Ive had to manually double.

Update required

This app is amazing for anyone whose new to juicing. I use it everyday and it works fine except today when it kept crashing as I opened it. please send an update and fix this. One less star because of this

Its Okay!

Thank you developers for making it work for iPad. I can say this is okay application, but have potential to be much better. Again expectations are linked to price point and I would not expect same from one dollar application. Here are few suggestions: (1) UI seems to be aimed to user who have some items in his fridge and wants to select few ingredients and find out what can I make out of ingredients from the fridge. Second choice is select recipes based on health condition which does not make sense as for each condition, you end up getting most of the receipes. There is no way to keep track of which receipes I have already tried out of 101 and what I havent. I dont think anybody can remember it out of 101 options. Ideally I would like to divide huge amoung of receipes in small weekly plans which I can systematically complete and mark favorite recipes out of it. (2) Receipes: Some receipes are very good (best I have ever tried) and some are okay. (3) After spending too much of money, my first impression is application does not look very good and have limited UI and even not optimized for ipnone 6/6plus ratina display! I have many other applications on Juicing and Smoothies which are much better designed and costs much less and this one looks terrible on iphone 6 plus in comparision of those. (4) Also, I would expect more information like guides on various ingradients and superfoods, their health benefits, FAQ section with common questions etc. Cost does not justify only receipes. Please update...

Only 2

There are only 2 juice recipes in the APP says there are 101.

App is ok

The app is ok, but each update is for additional in app purchases you can make. Know this is the way of the world now, but when purchasing this and the smoothie apps, when they first came out, it was not clear that what you saw was what you got. Would rather Google around than continue to sink more money into it.

Good app

The app is easy to navigate, recipes are searchable by medical condition, color or ingredient. And, thankfully, nutritional stats are included. What I can’t understand is why there is no way to print either the recipes or the shopping list. Please add this function.

Serving sizes are wrong

I downloaded the 15 day reboot menu from the website and bought this app to get all the different recipes. I noticed that for many of the recipes on the app, they say makes 2 servings but actually they make only one serving. I compared the menu I downloaded to the recipes on the app and the menu does show 2 servings while the app shows the quantities cut in half. Just be careful- this makes things harder when shopping/planning. Hopefully they put the correct servings for each recipe. For such an expensive app, things like this should never have been an issue.

A little disappointed but...

Overall the program is laid out very well and I was able to load it on both my iPhone and iPad BUT…There does NOT seem to be a way to sync the two. So work and “favorites” as well as “Shopping lists” do not sync between the two devices. Unitl a sync is available I can only justify giving it a rating of three stars.

Recipes good but...

I love the idea of the app BUT at the moment I can only add to my shopping list for one recipe. Lets say I would like to make the Carrot-apple-ginger, it only shows in my shopping list for two servings. I would for it to show for how any servings I would want. This way I go shopping once a week with one list and done :) Please make these changes. Other than that the app is smooth and super easy to use. We all know what a pain it is to make a shopping list for your juicing :)

Font is hard to read

The recipes are okay, but I find it really difficult to read the recipes on my iPhone.

Serving Sizes??

I got this after reading The Reboot with Joe- Joes Juice Diet Book and the serving size on most of the recipes in the book is 2 servings... But on the app it has the same serving size but the ingredients are half of what the book says which I would think is only 1 serving... .?????

Videos Don’t Have Sound

In my version of th diphone App, the videos have no sound...

Not worth the $14.99

The app has some helpful features, but nothing that is worth $14.99. I purchased the app hoping it would have a seven day juice meal plan, or some other tool to help you plan out your diet and make sure you are getting all the veggies needed. Unfortunately, not the case. You can select recipes, add them to your shopping cart, etc... But there are a few other apps out there that will do the same for a lot less. The most I would pay for this app is $2.99.
